- Parents and guardians of students, having already signed admission forms, agree to observe the rules of the school and understand that they cannot dictate to the school authorities on matters of policy, conditions of admission or continuance in school of any student.
- The school expects the co-operation of the parents to ensure that:
- The child comes to school regularly and punctually. She/he is dressed neatly and correctly, in complete school uniform, even on his/her birthday.
- The child brings his/her books and note- books properly maintained.
- The child prepares his/her lessons and does his/her homework regularly
- Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by taking active part in the activities of the school. In particular, they understand that they have entrusted the Principal with the authority to correct and counsel their child at her reasonable discretion.
- Parents are requested to write their remarks in the school diary for the information of the teacher as and when required. All class assessments are to be signed. Homework and corrections are to be done diligently by students.
- Parents are informed that their child will be sent home in the following circumstances.
- After three warnings for arriving late.
- For not wearing the correct uniform.
- For not having the remarks in the school diary signed by their parents within the stipulated period.
- For repeatedly forgetting to bring the necessary books and note-books to class.
- MEDICAL: In case of any accident or emergency during the school hours, parents will be informed immediately. The child will be administered first aid to the best of school’ ability. If there is a delay in the parents coming to the school, the child will be taken to the nearest hospital. Treatment will be given and the bill forwarded to the parents.
- While the Management is always conscious of safety precautions and it is still a fact that in the best run houses and in the safest places, too, things can go wrong. It must be understood that parents/guardians entrust their children/wards with the school staff at their own risk and management will at no time be held liable in case of unavoidable or unexplainable accidents arising from the malafide behaviour of the students in its care. This applies not only to the school premises but also on the streets, in the bus, during picnics, camps and excursions etc.
- If a student is likely to be absent due to illness for a prolonged period, the principal must be informed in writing as soon as possible. Parents should inform the school of any recurring or persistent medical problem of their ward
- In case of an infectious disease, parents should report the fact to the principal at once and should not send the student to class till he/she is certified fit by a doctor. (This applies mainly to chickenpox, measles, mumps, whooping cough, conjunctivitis etc.).
- Parents should not forget to provide their specimen signatures in the school diary.
- When communicating with principal, parents are requested to mention in their letters the name, class and section of their child.
- Parents are not allowed to meet their child or the teacher, during school hours without the permission of the principal. Parents may meet the teacher minutes before assembly in the morning or after the school gets over. An appointment with a member of the staff should be made before hand with the permission of the principal.
- Homework is defined as additional needed preparation to provide essential practice in needed skills or to enrich, enhance or extend school experiences. Homework encourages growth in responsibility, gives practice in developing good work habits and affords opportunities for increasing self-direction and learning how to budget time wisely.
- Parents are requested not to allow their ward’s valuables to be brought to school. The school does not take responsibility for the same. The school will not be responsible in any way for the loss of any personal belongings. Children are not permitted to wear any jewellery in the school. If they are found doing so, it will be confiscated. Wearing varnish, tattoo and heena are not permitted.
- Boys with short hair have to keep hair properly trimmed at all times. Girls with hair longer than shoulder length are to tie it up in a ponytail or braid it in a plait. Fancy hair clips/bands are not allowed.
- Messages for teachers or students may be given to the school office staff who will be glad to take the message and pass it on. Only in an emergency, will a teacher or student be called to the telephone during school hours.
- All found articles will be placed in the Lost and Found Box. Students may claim these before or after school hours. Please label all the items of clothing, belongings and other things like water bottles and tiffin boxes of your child so that they may be returned if found.
- All letters/correspondence addressed to the pupils are subject to scrutiny by the principal.
- Children who come to school in the care of the guardians or servants should not leave before the guardians or servants arrive. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
- Parents and guardians are not permitted to walk into the classrooms or meet the teachers during the class hours.
- Students should get their report cards duly signed by their parents or guardians within five days of its receipt. In case of loss of report card a duplicate one will be issued only after a payment of Rs. 50/- as fine. Student will have to pay Rs. 30/- as fine if his/her identity card is lost to get new I-card issued.
- Parents are requested to sign all exercise books and work sheets with special references to class assessments.
- Parents are requested to note that distribution of sweets, chocolates, and toffees on any occasion is not allowed. Parents are requested to rather present story books on child’s birthday to the class/school library.
- Parents are requested to refrain from inviting the teachers/staff to parties or offering lifts and gifts to them.
- Three passport size photographs, for official use, should be taken in the school uniform and submitted to the office.
- Parents are recommended that their travel plans must coincide with the vacation in the school and that the children must report to school on the first day after vacation. Parents must see that child avails leave only in case of emergency.
- Criticism of teacher in a child’s presence should be avoided, as it makes the student lose respect for his/her teacher. Should you have a legitimate complaint, please see the principal.
- If you feel that your ward is not making a desired progress, the Principal should be contacted. Private tuition is strongly discouraged.
- As the medium of instruction in the school is English, boys/girls should be helped and encouraged to follow their lessons easily and intelligently by a certain amount of regular English conversation at home
- No child is permitted to bring mobile phone to school. In case anybody violates the rule, the mobile phone will be confiscated
- It is mandatory for every parent to attend the parents teacher meeting and meet all the subject teachers.
- The latest photograph of the child should be pasted in the diary.
- In case of any change in the contact number(s) or address, the school should be intimated in writing.Request:Ensure that your ward carries books/note-books according to time-table in order to maintain regularity in studies and avoid heavy cumbersome load.
